Dear Fellow Delegates,
Congratulations on your election as a delegate to the State Democratic Party convention in El Paso this June.
I am seeking re-election to the Democratic National Committee (DNC). Serving you over the past four years has been an honor and I am seeking your continued support. The position I am vying for is an At-Large position, which means I represent the convention body as a whole, rather than any specific caucus.
As your current representative, I have tirelessly advocated to ensure that Texas remains a priority in the national political landscape. Some of the accomplishments during my tenure include:
· Advocating for DNC aid to Texas to counteract Republican influence and investment in our state and along our border towns, resulting in crucial funds and resources being allocated to our cause.
· Supporting the establishment of the first-ever DNC Disability Caucus, a long-overdue initiative that has led to ongoing ADA compliance efforts.
· Applying for Texas to be considered as one of the "pre-window" states, akin to Iowa and New Hampshire. Texas embodies the diversity, competitiveness, and feasibility criteria required for this distinction.
We all recognize Texas as a state of demographic and democratic diversity, deserving acknowledgment from the DNC as a battleground state rather than merely an ATM. Rest assured, I remain dedicated to bringing about positive change within the DNC on behalf of you and Texas, and I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to serve you for another term.
